Bakery Associate

Overview

Key Duties

• Maintain high quality and appealing presentation of bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Keep the bakery department fully stocked and prepared for service each day.
• Ensure accurate signage and pricing of all merchandise.
• Comply rigorously with cold chain requirements, calibrate thermometers, record temperatures, handle food safely, rotate stock appropriately, and monitor sell-by and expiration dates.
• Adhere to food safety protocols and sanitation procedures consistently.
• Follow established procedures for ordering stock, managing clearance, price adjustments, and labeling.
• Prepare bakery items by properly thawing and baking according to guidelines to preserve product quality and appearance.
• Secure displays safely and appropriately to prevent hazards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $19.10.

• Must be at least 16 years old.
