About the Role

Aarorn Technologies Inc is looking for a seasoned Application Support Analyst specialized in data applications maintenance and support. This contract position requires the candidate to be onsite in Toronto, ON for four days a week. The role involves maintaining the availability and performance of critical enterprise data applications, ensuring smooth operation within production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver level 2 and 3 support for data-centric enterprise applications running in production.
  • Continuously monitor application performance and anticipate potential problems proactively.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues linked to applications, databases, and data processing workflows.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement measures to prevent recurrence of incidents.
  • Handle incident, problem, and change requests aligned with ITIL principles.
  • Assist with application deployments, software patching, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively with development, infrastructure, and business units to troubleshoot and remediate production challenges.
  • Perform scheduled health checks and monitor application performance regularly.
  • Document technical procedures, support guides, and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and planned maintenance windows as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Over five years of professional experience in Application or Production Support roles.
  • Proven expertise in supporting data applications within live production environments.
  • Strong skills in application maintenance, proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management.
  • Sound knowledge of SQL and relational database management systems.
  • Competence in analyzing log files and detecting application performance issues.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Exceptional analytical reasoning, troubleshooting capabilities, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced production support setting.

Additional Information

This position involves face-to-face interviews held onsite. The pay rate is CAD 50 per hour (inclusive). Candidates should be prepared for on-site work four days weekly in Toronto.
