Role Overview
The Chargeback Analyst role involves partnering with the Finance department to review and dispute improper chargeback deductions made by customers against compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Critically examine chargeback claims to identify necessary documentation and investigation approaches for resolution or disputing.
- Collect relevant evidence through researching customer websites and engaging with their claims or accounting teams.
- Provide insights to assess the legitimacy of chargeback claims.
- Maintain and update multiple Customer Daily Logs for accurate tracking of claims and historical reference.
- Coordinate with the Credit Department to ensure timely clearance of claims and SOX-compliant document submissions for credits.
- Organize and manage filing systems to guarantee completeness and audit-readiness of all documents and approvals.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum three years of professional experience in accounting or finance settings.
- Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in online research.
- Intermediate to advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail and competence in handling substantial data volumes.
- Effective communication and diligent follow-up skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
