Role Overview

This role involves planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing hardware systems to meet performance expectations. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams for hardware bring-up, yield improvement, and system verification.

Responsibilities and Expectations

• Develop and verify hardware modules using coverage-driven methodologies.
• Create testbenches comprising stimulus generators, agents, monitors, and checkers using System Verilog and UVM.
• Debug failures effectively using tools like Verdi and log files.
• Integrate C-based reference models within testbenches to enhance verification fidelity.
• Develop assertions and perform assertion-based verification.
• Use EDA tools such as IUS, VCS, and Verdi for simulation and debugging.
• Write and maintain scripts in Perl and Python for automation and support.
• Collaborate proactively with designers and fellow verification engineers to address issues.
• Participate in subsystem verification involving Tensilica processors and C-based system modeling.
• Engage in advanced verification activities like gate-level simulation, power-aware simulation, formal verification, and emulation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 1 to 13 years of relevant experience in hardware design verification.
• Strong skills in System Verilog and Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
• Experience developing testbench components and coverage-driven verification.
• Proficient in debugging with Verdi and analyzing log files.
• Experience integrating C-based reference models in verification environments.
• Knowledge of assertion development techniques.
• Familiarity with EDA simulation and debugging tools including IUS, VCS, Verdi.
• Scripting expertise in Perl and Python.
• Experience with video processing pipelines is advantageous.
• Understanding of Tensilica processor subsystems and related verification.
• Capable of C-based system modeling and debugging.
• Exposure to gate-level simulation, power-aware simulation, formal verification, and emulation methodologies.
