Role Summary

The Senior Steward role is full-time and primarily onsite at the resort with occasional remote tasks. Responsibilities include overseeing daily dining operations, ensuring proper setup of tables and service areas, coordinating with kitchen and service teams to deliver timely and accurate food and beverage services, and maintaining a hospitable dining atmosphere. The role also involves guest engagement, addressing queries and concerns, training junior stewards, enforcing hygiene and safety standards, managing inventory of service supplies, and aiding in events or banquets.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily dining area setup and service operations.
• Coordinate between kitchen staff and service teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Provide assistance and respond promptly to guest requests and issues.
• Train, mentor, and support junior steward staff in service standards and procedures.
• Enforce compliance with hygiene, safety, and sanitation norms in food and beverage service.
• Manage inventory of dining service equipment and supplies.
• Contribute to successful execution of special events and banquets.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Demonstrated excellence in customer service and clear communication skills with guests and colleagues.
• Practical experience in food and beverage service operations in hotel, resort, or similar hospitality environments.
• Capability to train and guide junior staff effectively in operational and service aspects.
• Awareness of and adherence to safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations relevant to food service.
• Previous experience in steward or supervisory roles preferred; knowledge of resort or club settings is advantageous.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings according to operational requirements.
• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and multitasking capacity in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
• Comfortable communicating in English or Hindi; proficiency in local languages is a plus.
