Product Security Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Product Security Engineer to join our client on a full-time, remote basis. This role focuses on designing and implementing robust security controls within a cloud-native platform by utilizing threat modeling and secure development approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and uphold security requirements for various product features and infrastructure.
• Perform threat modeling and assess risks for both new and existing product functionalities.
• Enforce secure coding standards and implement security testing practices.
• Work alongside engineering teams to plan and deploy secure cloud architectures.
• Track and manage security vulnerabilities, leading remediation efforts in collaboration with multiple teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Competence in threat modeling techniques and related tools.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with security testing tools such as Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and penetration testing.
• Knowledge in container security, particularly with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong grasp of identity and access management (IAM) and zero-trust security models.
• Ability to produce clear and comprehensive security documentation for technical teams.
