Housekeeper

Position Summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and safety within a long-term care setting. This role is critical to fostering a sanitary and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors, contributing positively to the community.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, common spaces, and office areas to uphold hygiene standards.
• Implement sanitation procedures and safety guidelines rigorously to ensure all facilities remain clean and safe.
• Document housekeeping activities and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisory staff.
• Adhere strictly to infection control policies and universal precautions to maintain environmental health.
• Engage courteously with residents, team members, and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned to support operational excellence.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent qualification is necessary.
• Previous experience in housekeeping is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude with effective communication skills towards occupants, management, and company leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
• Physical ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 50 pounds, and to stand, walk, bend, and sit for prolonged periods.
• Capable of carrying out repetitive, routine tasks consistently and safely manage exposure to cleaning chemicals.
• Strong ability to follow both verbal and written instructions effectively on a daily basis.
• Must reside within the service area covered by the role.
