Role overview
This opportunity is shared on behalf of a partner employer, which will handle applications and the rest of the hiring process. The partner company is seeking an Executive Function Mentor in Germany.
In this position, you will work with high-performing students to strengthen the executive functioning habits that support both academic progress and personal growth. You will serve as a steady accountability partner, helping learners build routines, honor commitments, and stay aligned with goals established by senior coaching staff. Through frequent one-to-one check-ins, you will help students manage timetables, deadlines, and workloads while also encouraging independence and durable study habits. The role is well suited to educators and mentors who enjoy student development and thrive in a structured, people-focused learning environment. You will work closely with senior coaches to maintain continuity and consistency in student support. This is a chance to have a real influence on students’ confidence, discipline, and long-term academic outcomes within an international learning community.
Key accountabilities
- Hold regular one-to-one mentoring sessions, sometimes as often as daily, to help students complete tasks and reach academic and developmental milestones.
- Serve as a dependable accountability partner by monitoring progress and helping students remain focused, motivated, and disciplined.
- Help students organize schedules, schoolwork, deadlines, and extracurricular responsibilities.
- Strengthen routines that build organization, time management, and self-directed learning.
- Work in close coordination with Senior Executive Function Coaches to align student goals, weekly plans, and changing support needs.
- Adjust mentoring style to suit each student’s profile, learning approach, and developmental needs.
- Promote longer-term executive function abilities such as planning, prioritization, and self-regulation.
- Keep clear progress notes and communication updated in internal systems and coaching workflows.
Requirements
- A Master of Education (M.Ed.) from an accredited institution is required.
- Demonstrated background supporting students in an academic, mentoring, coaching, or educational support setting.
- Ability to establish trust, inspire learners, and maintain reliable accountability structures.
- Strong interpersonal presence and communication skills, especially when working directly with students.
- Prior exposure to executive function development, student coaching, or leadership skill-building is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of academic planning, learning frameworks such as SEL or other skills-based approaches, or progress-tracking methods is an advantage.
- Experience with international students or ESOL learners is beneficial.
- Familiarity with US and/or UK college admissions processes is a plus.
- Excellent organization and the ability to manage multiple student relationships effectively.
- Comfort working independently in a fully remote, contract-based setup.
- Genuine interest in education, student development, and lasting learning impact.
