Role Overview
The DevOps Engineer will focus on improving software delivery speed, quality, and operational efficiency by fostering collaboration between development and operations. This role emphasizes integrating people, processes, and tools to deliver customer-centric solutions, working alongside cross-disciplinary teams including Development, QA, IT Operations, Information Security, and User-Centered Design.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and support DevOps tools, containers, and containerization strategies.
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to understand business needs and guide the DevOps team's delivery accordingly.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders to ensure service effectiveness and prioritize efforts appropriately.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least 3 years' experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Strong expertise in AWS cloud services along with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code, Kubernetes container orchestration, and Helm for package management.
- Proficient in Python scripting for automation purposes.
- Familiarity with diverse databases, architecture designs, and integration processes.
- Experience using monitoring tools to maintain system reliability and performance.
- Knowledge of schema change management tools such as Liquibase.
- Understanding of GitOps principles.
- A strong focus on automation, continuous improvement, proactive monitoring, and best practice implementation.
