Job description
Overview
The Royal British Legion is seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that residents in its six care homes consistently receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. This role involves close collaboration with a dedicated team to uphold compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the Quality Assurance Framework and execute the internal audit schedule across care homes to promote continuous improvement and learning.
- Conduct both scheduled and unplanned audits to evaluate practices, highlighting areas of excellence and those requiring enhancement.
- Review internal audit activities and improvement plans, promptly escalating any critical concerns to the Head of Quality and Care Standards.
- Oversee health and safety compliance, including audits, reporting, and escalation, to ensure a secure environment for residents, staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Compile audit reports that document positive changes and confirm adherence to internal standards and regulatory requirements to senior leadership.
- Foster relationships with home teams, Quality & Performance Managers, Registered Managers, and senior leaders to promote a culture of learning, accountability, and ongoing quality improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in quality assurance, auditing, and improvement within regulated care settings.
- Strong organizational and analytical capabilities paired with an approachable and supportive demeanor.
- Ability to translate audit findings into actionable plans that support safe, high-quality care delivery.
Additional Information, Benefits and Conditions
- This position is primarily home-based but requires regular travel across the care homes.
- Annual salary ranges between £54,743 and £58,743, including a car allowance.
