Python Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Python Engineer to join a pioneering large language model (LLM) company. This fully remote, full-time position involves developing and refining AI models by providing proprietary data for fine-tuning and benchmarking their performance. The compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Main Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and maintain high-quality Python code to train and improve AI models efficiently.
• Perform evaluations to benchmark the performance of models and analyze the results to foster continual enhancement.
• Assess and rank AI-generated responses to user queries spanning multiple domains, ensuring alignment with established evaluation criteria.
• Lead supervised fine-tuning processes, including crafting and sustaining high-quality, task-specific datasets.
• Work closely with researchers and annotators to implement reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF) and to refine reward models.

Required Qualifications and Expertise

• Strong command of Python, including relevant libraries and frameworks used in AI and machine learning.
• Hands-on experience with supervised fine-tuning (SFT) and reinforcement learning techniques integrating human feedback (RLHF).
• Deep understanding of AI model evaluation techniques and benchmarking methodologies.
• Capability to design and apply Python code focused on data generation and model optimization efforts.
• Familiar with techniques for evaluating and ranking AI model responses.
