About the opportunity
AECOM is hiring across multiple program controls roles to support a major sports and entertainment program in Queensland. The work sits within AECOM’s global program management capability, which brings together tools, methods, and specialist expertise to deliver projects with social, economic, and environmental impact. The team supports complex programs across defence, transport, water, clean energy, environmental remediation, international development, disaster recovery, and major city-shaping initiatives.
Working alongside public and private asset owners, AECOM acts as a development and delivery partner to help shape ideas early and guide programs through every stage of the lifecycle, from inception through to decommissioning and removal.
AECOM has been engaged by the Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA) as delivery partner for the $7.1 billion Games Venues Infrastructure Program. Together with joint venture partner Laing O’Rourke, the team is supporting the delivery of 17 new and upgraded sport, recreation, and entertainment venues across Queensland for 2032 and beyond.
The roles available include Project Controls Manager, Cost Controller, Scheduler, and Document Controller.
Role overview
Project Controls Manager: Lead project control systems so delivery stays on schedule and within budget while risks and stakeholders are managed effectively.
Cost Controller: Monitor project spend, prepare budgets, and review financial variances to support accountability and project profitability.
Scheduler: Build and maintain project schedules, manage timelines accurately, and coordinate resources to achieve milestones.
Document Controller: Oversee project records, maintain document compliance, and ensure information flows efficiently between stakeholders.
