Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Backend Technical Lead with strong expertise in Python to spearhead backend development initiatives. This role involves collaborating closely with team members and stakeholders to design, develop, and implement innovative trading solutions and products.

Responsibilities

• Work jointly with team members and stakeholders to develop features and create new products.
• Craft technical solutions that meet defined business requirements.
• Document detailed technical specifications, choosing appropriate technologies and workflows adhering to coding standards.
• Present implementations to leaders and CTOs effectively.
• Write and execute Unit and Integration tests to ensure robustness.
• Guarantee software quality in terms of security, modifiability, and scalability.
• Engage in code reviews to identify anti-patterns and promote code refactoring and improvement.
• Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by superiors as necessary.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in software development using Python; PHP knowledge is a plus.
• Comprehensive understanding of software and application design as well as architecture patterns.
• Minimum one year as a Technical Lead, demonstrating leadership in software projects.
• Strong technical acumen paired with keen attention to detail.
• Familiarity with software quality assurance methodologies.
• Experience following software development lifecycle (SDLC) procedures.
• Knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles.
• Proficient with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Hands-on experience developing microservices and managing containerized apps.
• Basic to intermediate exposure to WebSocket development.
• Practical experience working with Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Helm.
• Skilled in version control and continuous integration using tools like Git and Jenkins.
• Good understanding of best practices in web security standards.
