Java Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to lead projects, deliver high-quality technical solutions, and engage in hands-on design and implementation for latency-sensitive trading algorithms. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining front-office trading software closely aligned with business users to translate complex requirements into innovative technological solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects while developing and implementing robust solutions for trading algorithms sensitive to latency.
• Design, develop, and support front-office trading applications, collaborating intensively with business stakeholders to address complex business and regulatory demands.
• Employ a comprehensive range of software engineering practices ensuring solutions meet quality, security, reliability, and compliance standards, addressing both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with an international team to enhance and innovate quoting applications, incorporating observability features, monitoring production health, incident resolution, and root cause remediation.
• Share expertise and mentor junior team members, actively contributing to the engineering culture and communal knowledge within the organization.

Team and Work Environment

Operates within an agile framework with teams organized into autonomous pods focused on large-scale products and services that fulfill client needs. Collaboration with a global development team and direct interaction with front office personnel to create and maintain automated electronic trading systems is integral to this role.

Required Skills and Experience

• Substantial experience (ideally over 8 years) in a front-office environment, comfortable engaging business stakeholders directly.
• Deep familiarity with trading platforms and real-time trading environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Java and enthusiasm for adopting emerging technologies and software practices.
• Excellent communication skills with strong capabilities in building internal client relationships.
• Effective planning skills, well-organized, and able to perform efficiently under pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and adapt quickly to evolving business requirements.
