3D Printer Operator

About the Role

Sky High HR Solutions is seeking skilled 3D Printer Operators to join their team in Dubai, supporting activities related to interior fit-out, joinery, and design projects. The position focuses on producing diverse 3D printed items such as prototypes, scale models, mock-ups, and component designs. The role involves close collaboration with Design, Technical, Production, and Project departments to meet precise project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise 3D printers to fabricate prototypes, scaled models, mock-ups, and design elements.
• Prepare and optimize 3D printing files through processes including slicing, orientation adjustment, scaling, and support structure creation.
• Work in coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure outputs align with project requirements.
• Conduct post-print tasks such as removing supports, cleaning, finishing, and assembling printed objects.
• Monitor print quality, identifying and resolving issues like warping, adhesion failures, layer inconsistencies, and print errors.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance including cleaning, calibration, and preventive checks to maintain printer performance.
• Manage printing supplies such as filaments and resins, keeping track of inventory and reducing material waste.
• Document and maintain organized records of approved print files, settings, machine usage, and completed products.
• Ensure safe handling of printing equipment and maintain a tidy, orderly workspace.
• Assist design and technical teams with prototype creation and design assessment.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent technical certification in fields like 3D Printing, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or related disciplines.
• Between 2 and 4 years of practical experience operating 3D printing technology.
• Sound knowledge of 3D printing methods, materials, and slicing software tools.
• Competency in working with 3D/CAD files, including understanding technical drawings, dimensions, and scale.
• Experience in sectors such as interior design, architecture, joinery, fit-out, furniture making, or engineering is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work independently.
