About the internship
About the Internship
This internship at IMPCA offers an opportunity to deeply engage with the company's plantation, carbon, project management, and financial data systems. Interns will be involved in standardizing diverse datasets from various sources like Excel and Google Sheets, and developing a unified data architecture that links projects, clients, farmers, land parcels, tree information, and financial data.
Key tasks include creating automated dashboards to track project milestones, survival rates, expenditures, and receivables; streamlining manual MIS and reporting processes via automation; implementing alert systems for missing or inconsistent data; and building AI-driven query tools to facilitate straightforward management inquiries.
Interns will also integrate field, GIS, project, and accounting data into a comprehensive management information system, thoroughly test data accuracy, and fully document all workflows, databases, and codes to ensure smooth knowledge transfer post-internship.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
Candidates should be available for a full-time, in-office internship of three months starting between August 28, 2026, and October 2, 2026. Ideal applicants have practical experience building dashboards, automation systems, databases, or GIS projects, preferably beyond online certifications. Comfort with handling large, complex datasets and a problem-solving mindset that prioritizes business objectives before technology choice is essential.
Applicants should possess curiosity about areas like sustainability, forestry, climate change, carbon markets, and rural development, demonstrate independent work capabilities with strong ownership, hold meticulous attention to data accuracy, and communicate technical details clearly for non-technical audiences. A willingness to learn new tools swiftly is vital.
Final-year students or recent graduates in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, AI, Engineering, GIS, Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, or similar fields are encouraged to apply. Exceptional performers may receive job offers post internship.
