Vopak is hiring a SHE Executive in Singapore to help deliver the terminal’s approved Safety, Health and Environment plans and targets. Role overview

In this position, you will oversee governance and legal as well as corporate compliance related to workplace safety, health, and environmental protection. You will also be responsible for coordinating terminal security matters and supporting a wide range of SHE programs and operational controls.

What the job involves

• Safeguarding terminal operations and helping the site meet its annual SHE targets and plans
• Serving as the terminal’s Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer, Registered Fire Safety Manager, and Port Facility Security Officer, including coordination with the security team
• Making sure the terminal operates with minimal environmental impact and stays aligned with environmental protection laws and regulations
• Supporting applications and renewals for SHE-related permits and licenses
• Coordinating occupational health and industrial hygiene activities across the terminal
• Managing risk activities and workplace inspection coordination
• Preparing updates on SHE performance and tracking improvement progress
• Supporting legal and internal SHE training requirements for employees and contracted workers
• Organizing and monitoring emergency drills and exercises to strengthen emergency response readiness
• Putting SHE initiatives and Must-Win-Battles into action
• Helping build and sustain a proactive safety culture
• Working with contractors to improve SHE performance continuously
• Assisting the terminal during emergencies or crisis situations
• Preparing required reports on terminal SHE performance
• Keeping Permit to Work documents, monitoring records, and similar records current and properly maintained
• Coordinating annual training plans for terminal employees
• Taking on other related duties as needed to support business requirements

Candidate profile

The company is looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience in safety, health, and environment management within a similar industry. The right candidate should be certified as a Workplace Safety & Health Officer by the Ministry of Manpower and as a Fire Safety Manager by the Singapore Civil Defense Force. Strong SHE leadership, exemplary safety behavior, and the ability to influence others are important, along with critical thinking and the ability to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
