About the role
In this Senior Programme Manager position focused on AI adoption for corporate transformation, you will lead AI-enabled change efforts across Services Wing functions such as HR, Finance, Procurement, and Infrastructure.
Your work will centre on helping these divisions spot, rank, and put into practice AI and digital opportunities that raise productivity, improve operations, strengthen service delivery, and enhance employee experience. You will guide initiatives from early problem discovery and opportunity framing through implementation, adoption, and steady-state operation.
You will collaborate with central enabling teams, including the AI Team and Digital Innovation Team, to ensure alignment with enterprise AI platforms, governance standards, reusable capabilities, and broader transformation priorities.
This role requires independent ownership of several complex workstreams, comfort with ambiguity, strong influence across stakeholders, and the ability to deliver measurable transformation outcomes through programme management, stakeholder coordination, and change leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Steer multiple AI-enabled transformation programmes across corporate functions and convert broad priorities into clear delivery workstreams.
- Spot operational bottlenecks, workflow inefficiencies, and business opportunities where AI, automation, or digital tools can deliver measurable impact.
- Own the full programme lifecycle, including discovery, scoping, implementation, adoption, operationalisation, and continuous refinement.
- Prepare strong programme materials such as transformation roadmaps, business cases, implementation plans, impact reviews, adoption plans, and senior leadership updates.
- Assess operational data, user feedback, and organisational context to produce practical insights and recommendations independently.
- Work across business, operations, product, engineering, and technical stakeholders to keep delivery on track and aligned.
- Promote AI awareness, experimentation, and adoption across Services Wing divisions.
- Partner with divisions to identify AI use cases that match business needs and operational goals.
- Run workshops, discovery sessions, and engagement activities to help stakeholders understand AI opportunities, implementation considerations, and transformation approaches.
- Coordinate with central AI and Digital Innovation teams to align work with governance, shared platforms, reusable capabilities, and security expectations.
- Monitor outcomes, adoption measures, operational gains, and delivery learnings to support scaling and improvement.
- Create and refine programme management structures, governance processes, and operating rhythms that support effective delivery.
- Identify process improvement opportunities that strengthen efficiency, collaboration, and programme results across divisions.
- Ensure all initiatives meet governance, operational readiness, and change management requirements.
- Build reusable playbooks, templates, implementation methods, and best practices for AI-enabled transformation work.
- Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders across HR, Finance, Procurement, Infrastructure, and central enabling teams.
- Coordinate business teams, vendors, and implementation partners to align priorities, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.
- Communicate progress, risks, direction, and results clearly to stakeholders at different organisational levels.
- Drive engagement, user adoption, and change activities to support successful rollout and sustained use.
- Help divisions navigate organisational and operational changes introduced by AI-enabled transformation.
- Anticipate adoption barriers, implementation risks, and operational challenges, then create practical mitigation plans.
- Encourage a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Share success stories, lessons learned, and implementation insights that build confidence and readiness for AI transformation.
- Take end-to-end ownership of large, loosely defined transformation initiatives and ensure delivery of outcomes.
- Manage several programmes at once while balancing strategic priorities, operating constraints, and delivery demands.
- Use sound judgement to handle trade-offs, risks, dependencies, and changing business needs.
- Apply lessons from implementation to continuously improve delivery methods and programme effectiveness.
- Translate transformation priorities into concrete plans, roadmaps, and measurable results.
- Proactively identify opportunities for AI-enabled improvement across Services Wing functions.
- Turn insights, delivery findings, and recommendations into clear strategic narratives tied to business value and organisational impact.
- Detect risks, dependencies, and operational considerations early and drive mitigation actions.
- Encourage collaboration across business, operations, product, and technical teams to achieve transformation outcomes.
- Challenge existing processes constructively to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support knowledge transfer and capability building among teams involved in AI and digital transformation.
- Contribute to a workplace culture built on innovation, experimentation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior colleagues through coaching, knowledge sharing, and guidance on programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, and transformation methods.
- Help build team capability in AI adoption, transformation delivery, programme management, and change management.
- Offer constructive feedback to improve team collaboration, effectiveness, and delivery quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading complex transformation or programme delivery work, ideally involving AI, digital change, or operational improvement.
- Strong programme management capability with the ability to run multiple workstreams independently.
- Ability to work through ambiguity and shape loosely defined problems into actionable plans.
- Experience engaging senior stakeholders and influencing across business and technical groups.
- Ability to identify workflow issues, assess opportunities, and turn insights into practical recommendations.
- Comfort with change management, adoption planning, and operational rollout.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear updates, plans, and executive-level materials.
- Experience facilitating workshops, discovery sessions, or cross-functional engagements.
- Sound judgement in managing risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and shifting priorities.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across divisions, vendors, and enabling teams.
- Capability to mentor others and contribute to team capability building.
