Senior Draftsman

Role Overview

Al Emadi Stones is looking for an experienced Senior Draftsman to prepare precise technical drawings and support stone fabrication and installation work in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on shop drawings, cutting lists, coordination with project teams, technical review of architectural documents, and production support for marble and stone projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Create highly detailed shop drawings that include fixation, fabrication, and connection solutions, while keeping them aligned with the design intent and nearby trade interfaces.
• Prepare cutting lists, setting-out layouts, and fabrication/installation drawings for use on site.
• Develop illustration sketches with cutting lists and tag numbers to maintain consistency and support book-matching or homogeneity where needed.
• Coordinate regularly with site engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure drawings reflect project requirements.
• Revise and update drawings whenever site conditions change or the client requests modifications.
• Examine architectural and structural drawings to confirm suitability for stone application work.
• Check that all drawings follow project specifications and accepted industry standards.
• Supply factories with exact dimensions and material details needed for cutting and polishing.
• Support material optimization efforts to minimize wastage during production.

Skills and Requirements

• Advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Experience with Revit and 3DMax is preferred.
• Strong understanding of marble varieties, patterns, installation methods, and detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret complex architectural drawings accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong communication and coordination abilities.
• At least 8 years of experience in the stone or marble sector.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Doha, Qatar. The role is suited to professionals with deep drafting experience in stone and marble projects who can support both design coordination and production execution.
