Senior Accountant

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to lead the management of our Accounts Payable and Vendor Management processes. This position involves handling the complete accounts payable lifecycle, nurturing strong relationships with vendors, and guaranteeing payment accuracy and regulatory adherence. The successful applicant will bring expertise in vendor onboarding, managing disbursement controls, and optimizing procure-to-pay procedures, all while ensuring operational excellence and maintaining financial data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the entire Accounts Payable process ensuring invoices are processed timely and accurately.
• Manage vendor payment schedules, ensuring compliance with payment terms and internal policies.
• Conduct meticulous invoice verification against purchase orders and goods receipts.
• Maintain and update vendor records, guaranteeing documentation accuracy and compliance.
• Serve as the main contact for vendor inquiries and handling dispute resolution.
• Assess vendor performance and assist the procurement team during contract negotiations as needed.
• Perform regular reconciliations of vendor statements to maintain ledger precision.
• Ensure adherence to VAT and withholding tax rules applicable to vendor payments.
• Implement stringent internal controls over disbursements to mitigate fraud risks.
• Support the month-end closing process by managing accounts payable accruals and aging reports.

Skills and Expertise Required

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, vendor management, and procure-to-pay cycles.
• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite, coupled with strong Excel modeling skills.
• Demonstrated ability in vendor statement reconciliations and driving AP automation efforts.
• Comprehensive understanding of Saudi tax legislation including VAT and Withholding Tax.
• Proficiency using Google Sheets for data management and reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational capabilities and effective time management.
• Familiarity with auditing standards and procedures.
• Skilled in handling large datasets and preparing comprehensive reports.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with vendors and internal teams.
