Role overview

voco Belfast, an IHG Hotel and part of The iNUA Collection, is seeking a polished and enthusiastic Receptionist to join the front office team. The role is focused on creating an excellent first impression, delivering smooth guest interactions, and helping visitors feel welcomed and well looked after from arrival to departure.

What the role involves

• Deliver a warm, professional welcome that sets the tone for a memorable stay.
• Recognise IHG Rewards Club members and repeat guests, whether they arrive in person or contact the hotel by phone.
• Handle booking payments, receive guest payments, and manage transactions accurately.
• Support a fast, efficient check-in and check-out experience.
• Stay ahead of guest needs by anticipating requests and offering personalised suggestions.
• Act as a reliable point of contact for guests, including assistance with billing queries and restaurant recommendations.

What the hotel is looking for

The ideal candidate will communicate clearly and confidently, remain approachable when handling both compliments and concerns, and use strong problem-solving ability to turn issues into positive guest experiences. Fluency in the local language is required, while additional language abilities are a plus. Candidates should also be comfortable with reading, writing, basic arithmetic, and everyday computer use.

Working pattern and pay

This is a 40-hour-per-week position. The pay offered is between £12.94 and £13.43 per hour, depending on experience.
