About the Role

CyberGuard Advantage is a rapidly expanding cybersecurity and compliance services company that partners with organizations needing strong technical knowledge, disciplined delivery, and measurable business results. The team helps clients lower risk, improve security maturity, and address complex compliance obligations across frameworks such as SOC, ISO, PCI, and HITRUST.

The Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, execution, and successful completion of client engagements within a cybersecurity and compliance professional services setting. Reporting to the PMO Director, this role acts as the key link among delivery teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to keep work on schedule, within agreed scope, and aligned with financial and risk controls.

This is a very client-facing position that calls for sound decision-making, excellent organization, and strong communication. The successful candidate must be comfortable managing several projects at once in a regulated, fast-paced services environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain project plans, schedules, dependencies, and resource assignments.
  • Lead daily delivery activities and make sure milestones are reached and outputs stay aligned with the contracted scope.
  • Spot delivery risks and issues early, assess their impact, and escalate to the PMO Director when necessary.
  • Act as the main project contact for clients and manage communication throughout the engagement.
  • Clarify expectations around scope, timelines, dependencies, and responsibilities.
  • Run regular status meetings and share clear, concise project updates.
  • Handle issues with professionalism, empathy, and a solutions-first approach.
  • Work closely with delivery teams and practice leaders to coordinate staffing, sequencing, and execution.
  • Align with the PMO Director on resourcing, utilization, and delivery priorities.
  • Partner with Finance to support project forecasting, milestone tracking, billing readiness, and revenue recognition.
  • Keep project records accurate in PMO systems and tools.
  • Track project health indicators such as schedule, scope, risk, and margin.
  • Maintain timely documentation to support audits and revenue recognition processes.
  • Identify scope changes or delivery variances early and assist with change control.
  • Follow PMO methods, templates, and best practices consistently across engagements.
  • Share ideas and feedback that help improve PMO tools, workflows, and reporting.
  • Support adoption of delivery standards and governance expectations across the firm.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 4 to 7+ years of project management experience in professional services, consulting, or technical delivery environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client-facing projects at the same time.
  • Strong organizational ability, communication skills, and stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in fast-moving environments.
  • Working understanding of professional services delivery basics, including scope, utilization, forecasting, and margin awareness.
  • Comfort working in regulated or compliance-driven settings.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, compliance, risk, or other regulated service areas such as SOC, ISO, PCI, or HIPAA is preferred.
  • PMP, CAPM, or a similar project management certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with distributed teams is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with PSA or PMO platforms such as Mavenlink/Kantata, Smartsheet, Jira, or MS Project is preferred.

The role is based in a virtual remote work environment.

Physical requirements include the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, use normal office equipment and a computer keyboard and mouse, hear and communicate effectively, and maintain close and medium-distance vision with the ability to adjust focus.
