Role Overview

The Pricing Manager position is a full-time, on-site role in Kozhikode. In this role, you will shape, assess, and refine pricing approaches for freight forwarding and logistics offerings across important trade lanes, balancing competitiveness with margin goals. You will handle rate analysis, carrier contract review, quotation and tender preparation, database upkeep, and cross-functional coordination to support customer proposals and commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, assess, and improve pricing strategies for freight forwarding and logistics services.
• Study market rates, carrier agreements, and underlying cost structures to support pricing decisions.
• Prepare quotations, tender responses, and rate proposals within required timelines.
• Keep pricing records, databases, and supporting tools accurate and current.
• Work closely with sales, operations, and finance teams to support customer bids and proposals.
• Negotiate rates and commercial terms with carriers and external partners.
• Ensure pricing recommendations match operational capabilities and service commitments.
• Track performance against targets and share regular updates and insights with management.
• Contribute ideas and improvements for pricing processes and margin control.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and numerical ability, with hands-on experience using spreadsheets, rate sheets, and pricing models.
• Solid understanding of freight forwarding and logistics operations, including ocean, air, and land transport.
• 8 to 10 years of pricing experience in logistics companies is mandatory.
• Clear communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams and external partners.
• High attention to detail when building quotes, tenders, and rate submissions under pressure.
• Ability to read market trends, competitor pricing, and cost changes and convert them into pricing actions.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other business applications; exposure to logistics or ERP platforms is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Comfort working on-site in a fast-moving environment while managing several priorities at once.
• Prior exposure to pricing for Middle East, India, China, or other international logistics markets will be an advantage.
