About the Role
This position provides senior-level administrative and coordination support to the Group Deputy CFO. It is focused on keeping priorities clear, schedules organised, and daily operations running smoothly. The role also contributes to governance, internal communications, event planning, action tracking, and a range of special initiatives for the wider Group Strategic Finance & Performance Team.
The right person will be highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working with senior stakeholders. Strong judgement, confidentiality, and the ability to build trusted working relationships across levels are essential.
Executive Support
- Own the Director’s calendar and make sure time is allocated to the most important priorities and meetings.
- Arrange travel, logistics, and the supporting documents needed for engagements.
- Draft well-prepared meeting packs, briefings, and follow-up notes that reflect business priorities.
- Serve as a reliable contact point for stakeholders, keeping communication timely and clear.
- Develop and sustain strong working relationships with senior stakeholders and support teams, while handling confidential information with discretion and sound judgement.
Personal Assistant Responsibilities
- Manage the Director’s inbox and workflow to improve responsiveness and efficiency.
- Coordinate leadership routines and help ensure the day-to-day rhythm of the team runs seamlessly.
- Monitor actions, decisions, and commitments, following up until completion.
- Join important meetings, record actions, and help maintain accountability across stakeholders.
- Keep team information accurate and current, including calendars and organisational structures.
- Support the onboarding and smooth integration of new team members.
Communications and Engagement
- Plan, shape, and deliver internal team communications so messaging stays consistent, clear, and aligned to business needs.
- Organise and execute team events, offsites, all-hands meetings, workshops, and charity activities to a high standard.
- Gauge team morale and engagement, then suggest ideas that strengthen collaboration and culture.
- Coordinate sprint-related activities and help deliver engagement commitments across the team.
Governance and Team Coordination
- Support governance processes such as review cycles, approvals, leadership routines, and operational workflows.
- Maintain distribution lists, team documents, and governance tools so information stays accessible and organised.
- Coordinate activities for the Group Strategic Finance & Performance Team, including agendas, minutes, action logs, and communications.
Special Projects
- Lead and complete special projects for the Group Deputy CFO, ensuring structured planning, stakeholder alignment, and timely delivery.
- Work across functions and workstreams to progress outcomes and support change-related initiatives.
- Track risks, milestones, KPIs, and status updates, then provide concise reporting and practical recommendations.
Candidate Profile
You should be a confident, ambitious, and highly organised professional who can manage competing demands in a fast-moving, matrixed environment. You’ll need strong communication skills, the ability to influence and support senior stakeholders, and a solutions-oriented approach. Experience supporting executives, handling internal communications, coordinating events, or supporting projects will be valuable.
