Role Overview

Compensation

Hourly pay is in the range of $16 to $19.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure, caring, and enriching setting that supports children’s growth and well-being.
• Organize age-suitable activities that encourage learning and healthy development.
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks while taking children’s dietary needs and preferences into account.
• Keep parents informed with clear, regular communication about children’s routines, needs, and progress.
• Support homework and other educational tasks to nurture learning habits.
• Handle everyday schedules such as naps, meals, and play periods to provide consistency.
• Guide children toward positive behavior and stronger social skills in different settings.

Qualifications

• Background caring for children in multiple age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with disabilities.
• Working knowledge of childcare standards, safety practices, and developmental play or learning activities.
• Ability to administer first aid and remain composed during emergencies.
• Experience preparing meals that meet children’s nutritional needs.
• Hands-on caregiving experience such as diapering, feeding, potty training, and supervising play.
• Good communication skills for working closely with parents and other caregivers.
• Willingness to handle light cleaning tasks tied to childcare.
• Interest in supporting early childhood learning through teaching and engagement.
• Patient, compassionate, and attentive to each child’s individual needs.
