Role overview
Autoliv is seeking a Millwright to support plant and office facilities, as well as machinery and equipment, through installation, repair, and ongoing maintenance work.
Key duties
- Carry out installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks on facility systems and production equipment.
- Handle maintenance trade work that can include machine and equipment repair, basic electrical tasks, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and general upkeep.
- Perform scheduled, periodic, and special checks to identify maintenance needs before failures occur.
- Work with hand tools and powered tools as part of daily duties.
- Test, inspect, diagnose, and fix machines and equipment when issues arise.
- Read and use prints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Assist in overseeing or supporting work completed by outside vendors when needed.
Required qualifications
- Grade 12 plus a college diploma is mandatory.
- Industrial Millwright Mechanic 433A certification is required.
- Applicants should have 2 to 5 years of experience in an industrial environment.
- Automotive industry experience is considered an advantage.
- Availability for a continental shift pattern is essential: two weeks on day shifts followed by two weeks on night shifts, with both rotations running from 6:30 to 6:30.
Compensation and benefits
- Base pay is $44.48 per hour.
- Sunday work is paid at double time for 8 of the 12 hours worked on Sundays.
- Day shifts include an additional $0.85 per hour.
- Night shifts include an additional $1.20 per hour.
- A cost-of-living adjustment of $0.75 per hour applies to every hour worked.
- Health benefits and a company-paid pension are available immediately upon hire.
- Coverage includes dental care, disability insurance, employee assistance program access, extended health care, life insurance, and vision care.
- After probation of 480 hours, or approximately 3 months, employees receive an $800 annual tool allowance.
- After probation, life, AD&D, and disability insurance are included.

- After probation, a $440 safety shoe allowance is provided.
