About the role

Sobeys is looking for a full-time Meat Cutter in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. In this store-based role, you’ll help deliver a positive shopping experience by preparing meat products, keeping displays well presented, and supporting customer service in the meat department.

What you’ll do

• Assist customers with their needs in a friendly and professional manner.
• Cut, prepare, and ready meat products for sale.
• Set up and maintain meat displays when required.
• Keep the meat department clean, organized, and operating smoothly.
• Receive incoming meat orders and process special requests.
• Support professional development and ongoing learning.
• Follow company standards as well as CFIA requirements and food safety rules.
• Carry out administrative tasks when needed.
• Train newer team members and clerks on meat department procedures.
• Support the Meat Manager and/or second meat clerk duties where applicable.

What you’ll need

• Solid working knowledge of meat department operations and practical skills.
• Comfort working independently in a busy, fast-moving setting.
• High school diploma.
• At least 12 months of relevant experience.
