Role Overview
Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara is looking for a Learning & Development Manager to help strengthen team capability and support a culture of growth. The brand is a luxury hospitality group inspired by Thai heritage and known for genuine, heartfelt service. This opportunity is based in Doha, Qatar.
In this position, you will act as a positive example for team members and support their development from the very beginning of their journey. Your work will involve creating, tracking, and improving individual development plans, coordinating learning initiatives, and making sure training efforts are aligned with both employee growth and service excellence.
You will also work closely with the Property Leadership Team, offering guidance on how to build team skills and improve capabilities so that customer satisfaction remains strong.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a visible role model for team members and promote a learning-focused workplace.
- Develop, monitor, and refine individual development plans.
- Organize and deliver training activities and learning programs.
- Support employees through ongoing learning and development initiatives.
- Advise the Property Leadership Team on ways to improve staff skills and performance.
- Help strengthen capabilities that contribute to better guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Hotel Management. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a learning-related role is required. Experience in adult learning or a comparable environment is important, and prior exposure to managing diverse cultures is also expected. Background in hotel operations is preferred.
The role calls for someone who is highly self-driven and able to deliver strong solutions within tight deadlines. You should be comfortable facilitating sessions, presenting to groups, and communicating clearly in English. Strong project management and process management abilities, along with analytical and strategic decision-making skills, are essential. Attention to detail, solid execution, and dependable follow-up are also important.
