Labourer

About the Role

CivilandScape is seeking an experienced general labourer with a background in landscaping and civil construction to join their team. The role involves working on diverse projects across Sydney, from high-end residential to commercial high-rise buildings. We are looking for a knowledgeable, presentable, and diligent individual to start immediately.

Prerequisites

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Solid understanding and adherence to NSW Work Health, Safety, and Environment (WHSE) practices.
• Possession of a current White Card for NSW.

The Role

The ideal candidate will present professionally in both appearance and conduct, especially when interacting with clients and the public. You should be capable of working efficiently and independently without supervision, possessing good communication skills for effective liaison with team members and clients.

Daily/Weekly Duties

• Provide general assistance to foremen, tradespeople, and colleagues with daily tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas by removing debris and construction materials.
• Construct elements such as walkways, patios, walls, fences, decks, and posts.
• Excavate ditches and trenches, and perform land clearing.
• Plant and maintain garden beds and lawns.
• Load and unload necessary materials, tools, and equipment for landscaping tasks.
• Transport materials using various tools including shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and manual lifting.
• Conduct daily preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including inspections, lubrication, and cleaning.
• Operate a range of tools such as chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, and drills.

Role Offer

• Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with potential for overtime and Saturday work.
• An annual salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience.
