Job Developer

About the Role

Spotwork is looking for a Job Developer to support Pathways to Success, an Employment Ontario-funded initiative that helps young people and other underrepresented job seekers access meaningful work in manufacturing, warehousing, retail, and food service throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

This position combines employer outreach, relationship management, and job matching. You will develop a network of hiring employers, connect participants with suitable vacancies, prepare candidates for the workplace, and stay in touch after placement to improve retention and early success.

What You'll Do

• Create and expand partnerships with employers in the program’s priority industries.
• Use Spotwork’s mobile-first platform to connect participants with appropriate job opportunities.
• Prepare candidates for work through coaching on job readiness and workplace expectations.
• Check in after placements to help new hires settle in and remain employed.
• Coordinate referrals to Employment Ontario partner organizations for additional support where needed.

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of experience in job development, employer engagement, recruitment, or sales.
• Demonstrated success in placing candidates and maintaining employer relationships.
• Strong empathy and understanding of the barriers some job seekers face.
• Comfort using technology, CRM systems, and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Employment Ontario programs is considered a strong advantage.

Additional Information

This role is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is an on-site contract opportunity.
