• Paid on a weekly basis

Role Summary

The Janitor will handle general cleaning and upkeep of assigned spaces within a building or across multiple client locations. Work assignments may vary depending on customer requirements, so flexibility and the ability to adjust to different tasks are important.

Responsibilities

• Keep all floor surfaces clean through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming
• Use cleaning chemicals and powered equipment correctly to avoid damaging floors or surrounding surfaces
• Maintain restrooms, meeting areas, hallways, and entry spaces in clean and orderly condition
• Remove trash and ensure waste is disposed of properly, including use of a compactor where needed
• Wash windows, mirrors, and glass partitions with appropriate tools and cleaning products
• Perform spot cleaning on carpets and help with deep-cleaning tasks such as extraction and shampooing
• Restock paper goods and sanitary supplies as needed
• Work according to the established housekeeping schedule
• Use heavier cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers when required
• Take on additional duties based on the work scope or customer needs

Qualifications

Candidates should either have a high school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months of experience in a janitorial-related role. Training will be provided on the job. Successful applicants need strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions well.

Preferred Experience

Helpful background includes previous janitorial or cleaning work, familiarity with commercial cleaning and custodial standards, knowledge of floor care methods such as buffing and waxing, and experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance.
