Overview
We are hiring on behalf of a client for a Frontend Engineer role based in the United States. This is a direct opportunity with the client company, not with the recruiting agency. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys building polished, high-impact product experiences for technically advanced teams in software and AI.
This is a core early-stage role with significant ownership. You will collaborate closely with founders, engineers, and customers to shape complex developer-facing workflows and define the design standards for the product going forward. The environment is small, fast-moving, and strongly focused on quality, craftsmanship, and meaningful outcomes.
What you will build
- Dashboard experience: Improve the product dashboard used by customers to manage and troubleshoot integrations, with responsibility for its visual design, usability, and functionality.
- UI library: Develop and refine embeddable React components and hooks that customers integrate into their own applications, with attention to composability, flexibility, and seamless user experience.
- Rapid prototyping: Use AI tools to quickly explore ideas and build prototypes without waiting for formal mockups or design approval.
- Customer interaction: Participate directly in customer conversations, including testing sessions, support discussions, and feedback collection, then translate those insights into product improvements.
- End-to-end feature ownership: Handle the full cycle from design and implementation to documentation and customer communication, including backend changes when needed to unblock progress.
- Performance optimization: Work on a data-heavy dashboard and help ensure the experience remains fast, responsive, and enjoyable.
What the role requires
- At least 4 years of experience building and designing digital products, preferably in B2B SaaS, developer tools, enterprise software, or similarly technical products.
- Strong React expertise, along with the ability to work across the stack; familiarity with Go on the backend is a plus.
- A strong comfort level with AI-powered workflows and enthusiasm for using new AI tools to boost productivity.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain design choices clearly and challenge ideas when needed.
- A solid sense of what makes developer tools intuitive and effective, with prior experience shipping customer-facing developer products preferred.
- Strong product thinking and the ability to work directly with customers to shape features rather than simply implementing specifications.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is USD 136,000 to USD 288,000 per year.
