Freight Forwarder

Role overview

We are looking for a Freight Forwarder with solid experience in Ocean Transportation Intermediary (OTI) work. This position is based onsite in Mohali district, India, with a shift from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday to Friday.

What you'll do

• Arrange ocean freight movement end to end, including booking cargo space, preparing shipping paperwork, and issuing shipping instructions and sales-related coordination.
• Maintain day-to-day coordination with shipping lines, port operators, and other parties involved in the supply chain.
• Track customs clearance progress and complete the documentation needed to satisfy regulatory obligations.
• Work with clients to understand shipment requirements and suggest practical, cost-efficient freight options.
• Keep shipments under review and share timely updates with clients about status changes, delays, and other developments.
• Follow changes in shipping regulations, trade rules, freight contracts, and rate structures.

What we're looking for

The preferred candidate should have experience handling ocean freight and OTI operations, along with a working understanding of shipping contracts, rates, port processes, customs procedures, and international trade compliance. The role also calls for someone who can manage pressure, handle several priorities at once, and communicate and negotiate effectively. Experience with freight forwarding software and related tools is an added advantage.

Work schedule

This is a Monday-to-Friday onsite role with evening/night hours from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM.

Experience requirement

Applicants should have at least 1 year of relevant experience, and candidates with 3 or more years in OTI or similar freight forwarding roles are especially well aligned with the position.
