Financial Controller

Role Overview

This role sits with SJE Management Pte Ltd, an affiliated Singapore-registered company of Golden Agri Resources. The entity focuses on investment and management services.

Core Responsibilities

You will support reporting, control, and accounting activities across operating entities, including data handling, reconciliations, and statutory deliverables.

• Examine payment schedules and expense entries using Excel-based templates.
• Enter records into the accounting platform and keep the ledger information current.
• Perform bank reconciliations for expense and cash balances, matching them to the accounting reports.
• Prepare regular management reports, such as expense summaries, budget-versus-actual analyses, cash flow statements, and weekly cash reports.
• Compile financial statements for the entities under review.
• Support GST calculations and submissions related to payments to or refunds from IRAS.
• Assist in producing financial information for statutory reporting requirements.
• Ensure internal and statutory reporting timelines are consistently met.
• Contribute to annual budget forecasting and periodic budget revisions.
• Respond to information requests from relevant stakeholders.
• Review operational workflows as part of internal control checks.
• Coordinate with tax advisers and external service providers as needed.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Prior exposure to accounting for investments or fund management will be considered an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with different stakeholders.
• Comfortable using MS Office tools and accounting software.
