About the Role
Sibylline is a security-focused intelligence and strategic risk consultancy that has been helping businesses, governments, and NGOs since 2010 with risk analysis, due diligence, and advisory support. The company offers a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment with strong exposure to high-profile clients and complex challenges, along with opportunities to grow as a respected analyst in the wider industry.
What You Will Do
As an Embedded Intelligence Analyst, you will help safeguard a client’s employees and assets around the world while reporting to the embedded Team Lead. You will support Regional Intelligence Analysts in producing finished intelligence outputs that guide business decisions and contribute to incident management for internal operations.
You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, provide timely advice and support, and coordinate with the wider Sibylline team when additional resources are required. The role involves gathering intelligence, tracking threats, and following geopolitical developments that may affect the client’s personnel, assets, and broader interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Track, interpret, and maintain awareness of situations affecting the safety of people, facilities, and operations.
- Identify threats and incidents, assess their significance, and determine the possible impact on the client.
- Use open-source intelligence and internal systems to create tactical intelligence outputs.
- Conduct investigations into persons of interest using OSINT and internal databases.
- Prepare and circulate alerts, as well as daily and weekly intelligence updates.
- Support incident and emergency management across client locations worldwide.
- Prioritise and triage threats and incidents efficiently.
- Monitor company events and employee safety.
- Handle other related tasks as needed.
Skills and Competencies
Ideal candidates are self-driven, thoughtful, and able to combine initiative with sound judgement. They should communicate clearly in both spoken and written English, think analytically, pay close attention to detail, and show genuine interest in security and intelligence work. The role also calls for the ability to perform well under pressure, collaborate effectively, and contribute leadership when necessary.
Requirements
- Ability to create high-quality intelligence products quickly without losing sight of longer-term analysis.
- Strong research and analytical capability, with the ability to write and edit accurately and efficiently in English.
- Good understanding of global geopolitical, security, and social trends; knowledge of regional languages is an advantage.
- Experience working independently and handling sensitive investigations with limited oversight.
- Comfort working across teams such as IT, HR, and Legal in multicultural settings.
- Strong integrity, initiative, and care when dealing with confidential information.
- Excellent organisation, time management, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
- Advanced use of G Suite and data analysis tools, including the ability to present complex information visually.
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies, International Relations, Criminal Justice, Business Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in global security, intelligence, research and analysis, or a security operations centre.
- Foreign language ability is an advantage.
Interview Process
- Introductory call with the Talent Acquisition team.
- Timed written assessment, scheduled at a convenient time, to evaluate writing and analytical ability.
- Panel interview with team members and hiring managers.
- Meet-and-greet with the client.
Equal Opportunity
Sibylline encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply, even if they do not meet every listed requirement. The company is committed to fair hiring and does not discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation, gender, ethnicity, age, political beliefs, culture, or lifestyle.
