This position is part of the Engineering & Facilities function in Dubai Marina, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is a full-time, non-management role based on-site. What you will do

  • Respond to guest repair needs and help resolve maintenance issues by communicating clearly with guests and customers.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, mechanical room equipment, and similar assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Inspect tools, equipment, and machines visually and transport equipment such as tools and radios as needed.
  • Locate and operate shut-off valves and utility shut-offs for building systems and equipment.
  • Track maintenance stock, maintain inventory, and request parts and supplies when needed.
  • Share daily work updates and any issues with other shifts through approved communication channels.
  • Work with basic knowledge, or develop it, across air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, finish work, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building systems.
  • Handle surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb replacement, A/C filter replacement, and full cleanup of repaired or painted areas.
  • Test, diagnose, and perform basic repairs on equipment, plumbing fixtures such as toilets and drains, electrical parts including lamps, switches, outlets, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, and other guestroom items.
  • Program TVs and complete general engineering and housekeeping inventory tasks.
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout process before starting maintenance work.
  • Repair interior and exterior landscaping items, including sprinkler systems.
  • Use basic computer functions such as entering air handler schedules and adjusting temperatures.
  • Follow company, safety, and security rules, report hazards, incidents, accidents, injuries, and maintenance issues, complete required safety training, and store flammable materials correctly.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance, protect confidential information, safeguard company assets, and treat all guests respectfully and professionally.
  • Build positive working relationships, support teammates, communicate professionally, and respond appropriately to concerns.
  • Handle physical work such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects up to 50 pounds independently and heavier items with help.
  • Move across stairs, ramps, and ladders, and perform bending, twisting, reaching, pulling, and stooping as needed.
  • Use computers to enter and find work-related information.
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by management.
