Role Overview
AP Projects & Infrastructure is looking for a Design Engineer / Coordinator to support project documentation, technical coordination, and submission workflows for infrastructure and construction works in Singapore.
Core Duties
- Arrange, attend, and contribute to stakeholder meetings, while recording key decisions, action items, and follow-ups.
- Prepare and submit method statements and material submittals related to architectural materials.
- Collect, organize, and verify material certificates and test reports received from suppliers.
- Track and distribute approvals for schematic design, design development, and construction documentation such as shop drawings, material approvals, and mock-ups.
- Develop Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for delivered and installed materials in line with the construction programme, and work with internal and external teams to arrange inspections and testing for approval.
- Coordinate material testing and witnessing with relevant stakeholders, including the client’s supervision team (QPS), suppliers, and testing laboratories.
- Submit Requests for Inspection (RFIs) for all required on-site and off-site testing and inspection activities, including concrete trial mix design, mock-up testing, and qualification of new products.
- Ensure project documentation, submissions, and records comply with the required specifications and project framework throughout each submission stage.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Technical Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
- Prior exposure to LTA infrastructure design work.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction, architecture, civil, or infrastructure environments.
- Strong technical understanding of construction materials, especially architectural and steel-related materials.
