Job Requirements and Duties

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and have access to an insured vehicle for deliveries. Strong navigational skills, including map reading and the ability to locate addresses in a designated delivery area, are essential. The role may involve navigating various terrains and multi-story buildings.

General Store Team Member Duties

• Operate all store equipment.
• Stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage and work zones.
• Prepare food products.
• Process incoming telephone orders.
• Conduct inventory and complete associated documentation.
• Perform daily cleaning of equipment and the facility.

Training

On-the-job orientation and comprehensive training will be provided.

Communication Skills

• Ability to understand and follow written instructions accurately.
• Capability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, both verbally and over the phone, to process orders.

Essential Functions and Skills

• Proficiency in accurate and rapid addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (calculator use permitted).
• Skill in making correct cash and change transactions.
• Strong verbal, written, and telephone skills for order processing.
• Excellent eye-hand coordination for precise and rapid movements.
• Ability to input orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.

Work Conditions

Team members may experience exposure to varying weather conditions when performing outdoor tasks, such as trash removal. In-store temperatures can range from 36 degrees Fahrenheit in the cooler to over 90 degrees Fahrenheit in other areas. Sudden temperature changes may occur between indoor and outdoor environments. Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces (including walk-in coolers), hot surfaces up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts is possible.

Sensing Requirements

• Ability to talk and hear effectively on the telephone.
• Near and mid-range vision for in-store tasks.
• Depth perception.
• Ability to distinguish between hot and cold surfaces.

The role requires the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work both independently and collaboratively, manage stress effectively, adhere to strict quality control standards, interact positively with people, analyze and compile data, and make sound judgments and decisions.

Physical Requirements

• Standing: Most tasks are performed while standing.
• Walking: Required for short distances and durations on various surfaces including ceramic tile and linoleum. Work surface heights range from 36 to 48 inches.
• Sitting: Primarily for completing paperwork in an office setting at a desk or table.
• Lifting: Unloading bulk product deliveries (up to 50 pounds) using a hand truck and stacking cases of ingredients and supplies up to 72 inches high.
• Carrying: Transporting items such as ingredient cans (approx. 3 lbs) and pizza sauce (approx. 30 lbs) from workstations to storage, and carrying up to three trays of pizza dough (approx. 12 lbs each) over short distances.
• Pushing/Pulling: Moving trays on dollies, which may require up to 7.5 pounds of force.
• Climbing: Infrequent climbing of stairs or ladders for tasks like changing signs or performing maintenance.
