Role overview
Infosys is hiring for a full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru East, Karnataka, focused on database support, administration, and analytics enablement across multiple data platforms.
Core responsibilities
- Deliver L2 support for database systems, including SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL environments.
- Carry out routine and advanced database administration tasks such as setup, configuration, patch application, version upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
- Track database health and performance, resolve operational problems, and help maintain dependable and highly available systems.
- Manage incidents, investigate root causes, and apply tuning measures to improve database performance.
- Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities for database platforms.
- Improve query efficiency and indexing approaches to boost overall system response times.
- Assist with ETL monitoring and the smooth operation of data pipelines.
- Help create reports, dashboards, and analytics outputs aligned to business needs.
- Work closely with application, infrastructure, and analytics teams to resolve integration issues and data-related challenges.
- Keep documentation, standard operating procedures, and internal knowledge articles current for database and analytics workflows.
