About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team in New South Wales, Australia. This full-time, onsite position involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to drive informed business decisions. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to understand their needs, develop analytical solutions, and present findings through comprehensive dashboards, reports, and presentations. A key aspect of this role is ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data, providing data-driven recommendations that align with strategic business goals. You will also be tasked with identifying significant trends, patterns, and anomalies within the data, contributing to the automation of reporting processes, and working alongside data engineering and business units to improve data accessibility and utility. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic setting, adept at managing multiple analytical projects concurrently.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, query, and analyze data using strong SQL skills.
• Develop and maintain data visualizations using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Utilize advanced MS Excel functions for data analysis, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
• Interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders.
• Support the automation of reporting processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data availability and usability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
• Strong understanding of data analysis principles, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and business metrics.
• Excellent communication skills to present data insights to business stakeholders.

Additional Information

Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), Python or R for data analysis, data modeling, ETL concepts, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and working with cross-functional teams are considered advantageous.
