Job description
Position Overview
Join a safety-focused, welcoming team as a Tool Store Operator within Rio Tinto's Fixed Plant teams at various Pilbara mine sites. This permanent role offers competitive pay, annual bonuses, extensive benefits, and a family-friendly 8-on 6-off roster with Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) options from Perth and Busselton.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all statutory tools and equipment are properly tagged before distribution to personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of tool allocation and inventory.
- Report missing or damaged tools promptly to supervisory staff.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on tooling to extend usability.
- Source and manage necessary parts for operations.
- Maintain and control stock levels effectively.
Candidate Profile
- Strong dedication to personal and team safety practices.
- Hold a valid Australian C Class manual driver's license or higher.
- Ability to collaborate safely within a team and adapt flexibly to business needs.
- Experience with SAP systems is preferred but not mandatory.
- Background in warehousing, logistics, workshop environments, or familiarity with tooling equipment.
