Role Overview and Key Responsibilities
- Convert business requirements into both high-level and detailed solution designs.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, security protocols, and data privacy regulations.
- Architect solutions spanning Claims, Underwriting, Payments, Policy Administration, and Customer Journey Platforms.
- Establish architecture patterns using Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microservices, and API-driven integration methods.
- Design and manage cloud-native solutions on platforms such as Azure and AWS.
- Collaborate effectively with product owners, business stakeholders, fellow architects, and engineering teams.
- Develop technical roadmaps and strategize modernization efforts.
- Prepare architecture documents, technical specifications, and schematic solution diagrams.
- Oversee security, compliance, privacy, and governance reviews.
- Lead architecture assessments and guide technology selection.
- Support project estimation, perform risk assessments, and monitor implementation progress.
- Identify and recommend enhancements to existing business processes and technology platforms.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Demonstrable experience as a Solution Architect with proficiency in enterprise solution design, architecture governance, system integration, and application modernization.
- In-depth knowledge of the insurance domain, including Claims Management, Underwriting, Payments, Policy Administration, and Customer Journey fundamentals.
- Experience servicing Health Insurance, Commercial Insurance, and Retail Insurance sectors within BFSI environments.
- Proficiency in architecture and integration methods such as SOA, Microservices, API design, and enterprise integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms, including familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, virtual machines, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and Azure DevOps.
- Capability in creating detailed architecture diagrams, technical design documents, and solution blueprints, along with knowledge of architecture frameworks and governance.
Beneficial Additional Skills
- Certification in TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks.
- Experience with Azure DevOps tools.
- Exposure to Agile and SAFe delivery methodologies.
- Understanding of security, data, and network architectures.
- Experience working in multi-cloud environments.
