Job Overview
We seek experienced Full-Stack Software Engineers passionate about addressing business challenges through innovative engineering practices. This role involves coding, collaborating with developers, analyzing backlog deliverables, and actively contributing within an Agile team.
Responsibilities
- Utilize in-depth knowledge across all stages of the software development life cycle and regularly collaborate with stakeholders.
- Develop solutions within an Agile team to meet sprint goals, write clean code, and engage with the wider technical community.
- Design, document, and build enterprise-grade applications using contemporary technologies and design patterns.
- Leverage expertise to resolve technical issues, following best practices and contributing to team standards.
- Work with technical leaders to align with organizational technical strategies.
- Incorporate AI tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development effectiveness and expedite delivery.
- Stay current with evolving AI technologies and propose innovative features accordingly.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex programming and performance problems efficiently.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify development defects and implement resolutions.
- Demonstrate strong technical understanding relevant to software solutions in development.
- Employ Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration of services.
- Communicate progress clearly, anticipate challenges, manage risk, and escalate issues proactively.
- Optimize and automate recurring processes within architecture, build, delivery, or operations to improve efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years in software development with expertise in Java, React (JavaScript framework), Spring Boot, and Oracle databases.
- Solid understanding of modern application architecture principles.
- Strong grasp of Java data structures and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience with AI tools to enhance development workflows.
- Proficiency with microservices, event-driven services, and cloud-native application development.
- Hands-on experience with service-oriented and microservices architectures, including REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Full-stack skills covering frontend and backend components of robust web applications.
- Experience building user interfaces using React, HTML5, and CSS.
- Backend development skills with Java, Python, or similar languages.
- Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle RDBMS.
- Proven ability to design and implement high-performance RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, build tools like Maven or Gradle, and deployment frameworks such as Docker, Jenkins, and OpenShift.
- Experience with AWS cloud services is a significant advantage.
- Practical knowledge of Agile methodology and tools such as JIRA.
- Capability to develop and automate unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Solid experience with version control using GitHub Enterprise.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Additional Information
Salary range for this full-time, onsite role in Mississauga, Ontario is between $120,800 and $170,800 annually.
