Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced RDKV Developer to create and enhance web browser solutions for embedded multimedia systems. The role involves working with WebKit (WPE), graphics programming, streaming technologies, and embedded Linux platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and customize multimedia web browser solutions for embedded systems using the RDKV platform.
- Port and enhance the WebKit (WPE) browser engine to improve performance and features.
- Design and implement graphics rendering optimizations using OpenGL ES2.
- Develop and refine Media Source Extensions (MSE) and Encrypted Media Extensions (EME) for OTT streaming support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of browser features.
- Identify and debug issues related to performance, stability, and compatibility in embedded environments.
- Work extensively with embedded Linux and real-time operating system concepts for system integration.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing web browsers for embedded systems, with a multimedia focus.
- Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
- Demonstrated expertise in WebKit (WPE) porting and development, with familiarity of other browser engines.
- Experience coding in HTML and JavaScript, with solid understanding of their interaction with browser engines.
- Skilled in OpenGL ES2 and graphics programming techniques.
- Proven embedded Linux experience and comprehension of real-time operating system principles.
- Experience developing MSE and EME extensions.
- Knowledge of DRM technologies used in OTT streaming such as PlayReady and Widevine.
- Familiarity with streaming protocols and audiovisual containers including HLS and MPEG-DASH.
- Understanding of modern rendering and window managers like Wayland, Weston, or Westeros is highly desirable.
