Where you'll work

직무 설명

The Team

This role sits within the Trading Team, which handles market making and proprietary trading across options, structured products, and delta one instruments.

The Role

You will work as a front-office quantitative specialist focused on the options desk. The position is centered on improving pricing frameworks, strengthening risk controls, refining trading approaches, and supporting booking and settlement processes. You will serve as the quantitative support for traders, with a strong focus on volatility calibration and reliable backtesting, while also guiding developers on technical implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the construction of volatility surfaces and investigate, implement, and refine stochastic volatility models for more accurate pricing and risk assessment.
  • Work with traders to design, prototype, and test new strategies using historical data to uncover trends and market inefficiencies.
  • Take ownership of quantitative initiatives from research and Python prototyping through to production delivery with C++ developers.
  • Create analytical tools for trade review, scenario simulation, and live risk monitoring.
  • Act as a link between trading and engineering teams by converting trader requirements into clear technical specifications and helping ensure work is delivered on schedule.
  • Carry out detailed post-trade analysis, including P&L breakdowns and Greek exposure reviews, then explain outcomes and propose improvements.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Financial Engineering, or Computer Science, ideally from a top-tier university.
  • Hands-on quantitative experience, preferably gained in an options market-making or derivatives proprietary trading environment.
  • Strong background in options theory and volatility trading.
  • Python expertise with advanced capability in data analysis, statistical modeling, and rapid prototyping.
  • C++ knowledge is a strong advantage, especially with low-latency production systems or close work alongside C++ engineers.
  • Comfort using Git and working in collaborative codebases.
  • Solid understanding of option pricing methods including Black-Scholes, local volatility, stochastic volatility, Greeks, volatility surfaces, and common trading strategies.
  • Highly independent, proactive, and precise, with excellent communication skills and a disciplined approach to validating data.

Additional Information

The company may use artificial intelligence tools to review your resume or CV against the role requirements to help the recruitment team assess applications more efficiently. These tools support hiring decisions but do not replace human judgment. Final decisions are made by people, who consider the tool output along with other relevant information.
