Purchasing Executive

Position Overview

Sealed Air Singapore seeks a Purchasing Executive to manage procurement operations, including sourcing vendors, handling contracts, and maintaining strong supplier relations while ensuring adherence to internal procurement policies and ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and issue Purchase Orders efficiently.
• Ensure all purchasing procedures comply with the company's ISO 9001 and 14001 integrated systems.
• Identify, negotiate with, and audit suitable vendors for both direct and indirect procurement needs.
• Evaluate and approve new vendors based on qualification criteria.
• Request supplier quotations and provide suppliers with necessary technical drawings.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding delivery schedules, sample submissions, and address any issues related to goods or services.
• Interpret technical and dimensional drawings accurately to inform procurement decisions.
• Manage quality concerns for all purchased items to fulfill customer requirements.
• Prepare, track, and organize documentation for all purchase orders systematically.
• Regularly implement Cost Reduction Programs to optimize expenditure.

Candidate Profile

• Possess at least a Diploma in Business Administration, Purchasing Management, or a related qualification.
• Have 2 to 3 years of practical experience in purchasing within manufacturing or service industries.
• Exhibit strong negotiation capabilities and effective communication skills for collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities alongside being proactive and analytically minded.
• Must hold Singapore permanent resident status or work rights to qualify for this role.
