Project Manager – Interior Design

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and highly organized Project Manager to oversee interior design projects from initiation through to final handover. This individual will need robust expertise in managing interior fit-outs, site execution, vendor relations, project planning, budgeting, quality assurance, and client communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute projects from inception to completion including schedule development, timelines, and milestones.
• Liaise effectively with designers, architects, site supervisors, contractors, vendors, consultants, and clients.
• Review and interpret drawings, BOQs, specifications, material choices, and project requirements.
• Monitor daily site activities ensuring work aligns with approved drawings and specifications.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and various site professionals such as carpenters, fabricators, electricians, plumbers, and painters.
• Manage project budgets and costs, handling procurement and material requirements efficiently.
• Identify potential risks, delays, and site constraints, implementing corrective measures proactively.
• Conduct regular site meetings and provide comprehensive project updates to management and clients.
• Ensure the quality of craftsmanship and finishing adheres to company standards.
• Oversee inspections, snagging, rectifications, and the final handover process.
• Maintain thorough project documentation including schedules, reports, approvals, drawings, and site records.
• Manage client expectations with professional and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company procedures.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
• Relevant experience ranging between 3 to 7 years in interior fit-outs, construction, or project management.
• Profound understanding of interior site execution, construction techniques, materials, and finishing processes.
• Proficiency in project planning, budgeting, BOQs, procurement processes, and vendor coordination.
• Ability to read and comprehend architectural, interior, MEP, and other technical drawings.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and coordination capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills with client engagement proficiency.
• Familiarity with MS Office and project management software; knowledge of AutoCAD or comparable design tools considered advantageous.
• High attention to detail with capability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
