Role Overview

As a Product Marketing Manager, you will spearhead the development and implementation of marketing strategies for your assigned product portfolio. This pivotal position demands collaborative engagement across global product and revenue teams to transform complex technical details into compelling market differentiation. Your influence will span the entire customer lifecycle, embedding customer perspectives into all marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Craft and deploy an effective product marketing strategy aligning with business goals.
  • Lead go-to-market plans and oversee successful product launches.
  • Conduct thorough market, competitor, and customer research to guide strategy formulation.
  • Engage cross-functionally with product, design, customer experience, and regional teams to ensure unified objectives and coordinated execution.
  • Develop clear, persuasive product positioning and messaging.
  • Partner with Digital and Field Marketing teams to implement impactful campaigns.
  • Equip internal teams with consistent communications articulating product value propositions.
  • Produce engaging content for both external audiences and internal stakeholders, including solution briefs, white papers, and sales enablement materials.
  • Maintain comprehensive buyer personas and contribute to product naming and commercialization.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and Customer Marketing to promote product uptake, usage, and customer loyalty.

Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of seven years’ experience in Product Marketing, ideally within B2B software or SaaS environments.
  • Educational background in business, geosciences, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success in creating global campaign content.
  • Strong knowledge of B2B buyer personas and customer journey mapping.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to lead campaigns and launches.
  • Data-driven mindset for interpreting customer and product insights.
  • Creative and strategic thinker eager to innovate.
  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities for collaboration and vendor relationship management.
  • Capacity to establish rapport and influence senior leadership.

Additional Details

This position is office-based, located in either Christchurch, New Zealand or Vancouver. Occasional international travel and flexible working hours may be required to engage with global colleagues across time zones.
