Payroll Officer

About the Role

Lovisa Pty Ltd is seeking a meticulous Payroll Officer to oversee the entire payroll process, ensuring employees are compensated accurately and punctually. This position is key in maintaining organised payroll operations and delivering excellent advisory support to the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up new hires in payroll and Time & Attendance platforms.
• Accurately processing payroll in compliance with applicable laws.
• Handling employee data changes such as onboarding, terminations, and salary adjustments.
• Calculating termination payouts, salary increases, and retrospective payments.
• Providing reliable payroll guidance to both management and employees.
• Addressing payroll-related queries and offering general administrative assistance.
• Maintaining payroll records, systems, and electronic documentation.
• Generating payroll reports for operations and various departments.
• Assisting the Payroll Manager with month-end duties including leave calculations, reconciliations, and payroll journal entries.
• Updating payroll procedure manuals and processing guidelines.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses 2 to 3+ years of experience in payroll or related functions.
• Deep, current understanding of payroll legislation and statutory obligations.
• Proficient in Excel at an intermediate to advanced level.
• Excellent numerical aptitude with great attention to detail.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
• Prior retail payroll experience is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with Dayforce Payroll system.
• Familiarity with Time & Attendance systems, especially UKG, is highly beneficial.
