  • Support and maintain the organisation’s network estate, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 devices, LAN, WAN, internet connectivity, B2B links, remote access solutions, network load balancing, and Wi-Fi.

  • Manage incidents and service requests in line with service level agreements.
  • Keep up to date with emerging cyber security products, standards, and best practice.
  • Apply patches to security devices promptly and address vulnerabilities to maintain strong protection.
  • Carry out daily checks across the security estate to prevent downtime, breaches, and network weaknesses.
  • Maintain operational policies, procedures, and standards that support the wider business.
  • Create and update technical documentation so others can support the environment in your absence.
  • Take part in disaster recovery and business continuity testing, development, and maintenance.
  • Recommend and implement technology solutions based on business needs and new technical developments.
  • Manage small works requests using the agreed process.
  • Work with third-party suppliers to ensure service, support, and maintenance commitments are met.
  • Provide specialist technical input during the planning and development of new systems and projects.
  • Maintain accurate IT equipment inventory records.

Scope to grow in the role
